Paintings : Sentinels

The Sentinels is a series of pictures that started at the beginning of the pandemic. At that time, I felt like everyone was looking for a little bit of security, a little bit of extra protection. So I made these soldiers (each holding their own large spear and standing at attention) to act as guardians and to watch out for those who own them. I only realized afterwards that when I made one of these, I was making a soldier, but when I made many, I was making an army.
