Paintings: Imaginary Botanicals

These Imaginary Botanical paintings started the day after 9/11.  I wanted to do the opposite of what everyone witnessed; I wanted pictures that celebrated the joy of life. These botanicals grew along with a new fascination for Francois Boucher's Louise O'Murphy. I saw within this painting similar geometry and eventually merged the two with the lines of the botanicals following the same contours of her body.
