ArtShow is an artist interview program that is designed to be fun, engaging and informative. The idea is to use these video interviews as a way to attract new audiences to learn about the artists or to strike up new conversations with those who already are fans.  Host Craig Stover's years in the arts means he's able to talk with the artists on a personal level about their art, what really interests them and why they choose to make art (often revealing the secrets they put into their work) in a relaxed and clear manner.

ArtShow accepts submissions from artists (emerging and established) using any artistic discipline. Those who wish to be interviewed should use the ArtShow Artist Submission Form below.  Please note: submitting your information below does not guarantee participation.  If your application is approved, we will reach out to confirm your participation (no phone calls please).

We encourage you to watch at least one episode of ArtShow first before submitting to make sure the show it right for you.

INTERVIEW DETAILS (if you're selected)

  • First, we will reach out for a brief 10 minute phone call to go over details of how the interview process works..
  • Interviews will occur over Zoom and will last approximately 20-30 minutes.
  • Artists need to have good internet access, a computer (or phone) capable of running the Zoom application and full audio/video capabilities.
  • Your website or social media will be linked into the final video (using YouTube cards)
  • All interviews, once published, will be promoted on social media sites, and email newsletter, local press and other places where appropriate.  Artists will receive a link to their interview and are encouraged to promote it in the same way.

HOW TO APPLY

#1 If you are a friend of an artist who has already been interviewed, you can apply by reaching out to them and getting them to send us an email confirming your connection.  This is designed to encourage artists to strengthen their network of artist friends.

#2 If you do not have any connections with any of the artists that have already been interviewed, you may still apply to be on the program.

#3 If you have connections to a gallery or representative that would be willing to sponsor your interview, there is a sponsorship program available called ArtShow Specials.  This is a great opportunity if you have an upcoming exhibition or a new gallery representation.
